Beficent is a one-person software business. I design, build and maintain focused tools, starting with SUrriculum, a planner Sabancı University students use to map out their degree.

SUrriculum
A curriculum planner for Sabancı University undergraduates. Plan every semester, track graduation requirements as you go, and build your weekly schedule in one place. It runs entirely in the browser, so students' plans stay on their own device.
Semester planning
Lay out every term, move courses between semesters, and see each term's workload at a glance.
Requirement tracking
Check progress toward a major, double major and up to three minors, then see what's still missing.
Transcript import
Import an official academic records summary (HTML or PDF) to fill in completed courses automatically.
Weekly scheduler
Pick sections for a term, build a timetable, and sync the result back into the plan.
Private by design
No accounts and no server-side storage. Plans are saved in the browser and can be exported or imported.
Desktop and mobile
A dedicated mobile layout, light and dark themes, and offline support after the first visit.
Started in 2023 by another Sabancı University student. I took it over in July 2025 with the original author's permission and have been rebuilding and maintaining it since.

Collect as little as possible. Where it fits, data stays on the user's own device.

Automated unit, data and end-to-end browser tests, plus scheduled data updates, keep the tools reliable after launch.

Beficent is run by Bilal Mehmet Gebenoğlu as a sole proprietorship registered in Türkiye in January 2026. I handle the whole process myself: product design, development, testing and ongoing maintenance.
